How to get in!
Pass the Parcel and Story Telling:- If you’ve not been into the Chapel before, the entrance way can be a little intimidating. If there’s no-one outside greeting you, walk in through the open doorway, use the right-hand door. (The left hand one goes up into a balcony). Walk straight ahead, through the door in front of you. Most people are surprised the first time they come in – the physical appearance is not what they expect and there is a very warm, welcoming atmosphere.

What can I expect?
This Christmas gathering is suitable for children and other people who like to have fun. Members of the villages’ community choir, Just Sing, will be leading our carol singing and will sing on their own.

The hour will be led by pre-written questions revealed through Pass the Parcel. (There will also be small gifts in the Pass the Parcel). Activities will include in-character story-telling of Jesus’ birth by Mrs Ink, inclusive challenges, light waving, small gifts, laughter and prayer.

What should I wear?
In case you’re wondering what to wear – some people wear jeans and t-shirt, others come ‘smart/casual’. I think the only time men might wear a suit and tie, is Remembrance Day. The Minister normally dresses smarter than a Coffee@Carey day, but not always. We hope this helps you feel at ease.

Are there refreshments?
Yes, after Pass the Parcel, you are very welcome to stay for tea, coffee, etc and mince pies, or other goodies.

Is there a cost involved?
If you would like to leave a financial gift for the running of the church, at the ‘coffee bar’ or in the ‘buildings donation box’, that will be lovely.
